Documentary show one of the most terrible crimes which have continuously being committed throughout God knows what period of time. When the the scandal started to unfold, the reputation of Church was fatally damaged, or so we thought. With election of Pope Francis, the 266th and current Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, the healing process has began. There is no doubt that the Church has a long way to go to restore its reputation, but at least it is clear that it follows the right direction.
It is remarkable how this documentary is relevant to what is happening today in the world of politics. I would think that there is no reason for us to hope for anything positive in the future, if those who are in power continue doing their job in business-as-usual mode.
What politicians shall realise is that there are plenty of evidence suggesting that it is the right time to start the process of healing by genuinely admitting mistakes. They need to start by saying loud one simple but powerful word “sorry”. Then, and only then, it would be possible for the global community to look forward to a brighter future.
