Long before the inauguration, the world was entertained by the continuous stream of revelations regarding alleged ties between Donald Trump and Russia. I cannot recall a single day whereby new information would not be reported on this subject matter.
If I am not mistaken it started from Paul Manafort possible connection with Russia when he was Trump’s campaign manager. Initially, I thought that it might be just a coincident. Maybe he was consulting Victor Yanukovich, the president of Ukraine (at that time) and his government on certain issues that are unrelated to Donald Trump.
But then a waterfall of breaking news, showing representatives of Trump’s team meeting representatives of Russia. One after another they started to “shine” like TV stars. It could be ok if these representatives would not deny it initially.
I thought that it is not necessary to mention the names of all so-called “stars” because we will remember their names for a very long time anyway.
However, few things are still not clear to me. Donald Trump, the president of the United States, has not finished his first 100 days. And yet, he is far ahead of any U.S. presidents in terms of the scale and the nature of disclosed information which would compromise any of his predecessors.
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, has not finished his first 100 days. And yet, he is far ahead of any U.S. presidents in terms of the scale and the nature of disclosed information which would compromise any of his predecessors and lead to the impeachment.
Nevertheless, as far as I understand, he still has supporters among American people. He is also supported by the Republican Party. The fact that he still has supporters is difficult to explain since the continuous stream of breaking news does not show any sign that it will end soon.
It is understandable, more or less, why the Republican Party supports the current president. In my opinion, because the Republican Party always represented the interest of big business more than the American public. It is almost natural for them to support him as it makes their life easier.
What makes me wonder is the secret reason for those Americans, to continue supporting Trump? Is it because they do not have access to the information of because they have lost the ability to think?
What would take them to open their eyes and realise that Donald Trump represents the biggest threat that the U.S.A. has ever faced in its entire history? Would foreign military tanks on the streets of Washington DC convince them? I am not sure.
